About Talking Concerts: AI and Improvisation

You may have heard how artificial intelligence is taking over the world. Come and listen to an alternative – AI as a musical partner. Pianist David Dolan and composer Oded Ben-Tal have been developing a duo partnership where an AI system – developed by Ben-Tal – listens and responds in real time to David’s tonal/modal improvisation. The duo will perform several improvisations together and also explain, in non-technical terms, how this musical dialogue between human and machine works.
